I have personally never met another window professional who has the kind of far reaching experience that I have achieved over the last 15 years in this business. I started out working in Saint Louis red lined neighborhoods which collectively host a staggering array of window engineering ideas and balance systems. Changing out windows that still operate and have been in service since the early 1900’s is common. In between really old stuff in STL you run into mid modern homes that were trying out all kinds of oddball storm windows, interior inserts, geometric shapes and quirky ideas from literal door to door salesmen. I have seen some of the oddest windows and installation techniques you can imagine. Residential and commercial. I grew my business to handle a modest 15 full houses per week with myself and a few small crews. Plus a steady stream of glass replacement and general window repairs. I was personally measuring and overseeing every single job. That afforded me the opportunity to work with just about every window type that any builder has ever used anywhere in St. Louis in any size home over the last 120 years. I am that confident. I have completed whole house replacements with inserts and full jamb alike for multi million dollar mansions, multifamily buildings, big chain hotels, funeral homes, condos, churches, factories and just about every size and style residential home you can imagine. Massive repair jobs for broken glass and balances and parts of all types imaginable in every window imaginable. I am an EPA certified Lead Safe Renovator. I’ve done high end custom entry doors, storm doors, patio doors and storm windows. Extensive historic restoration projects with operations repair, stripping original sashes to the bare wood for refinishing and removing and applying new traditional glazing. I have worked in almost every major historic district from STL to Saint Charles to Collinsville. I have added egress windows by opening up walls. I’ve done all types of glass block, piece by piece and pre-built. I’ve done huge custom geometric and arch top windows, massive picture windows, 5 wide field mull units, 3 story turrets with rounded windows and only lift access, fire restoration jobs that require complete new framing, de-siding near entire homes for new construction style replacements, 2 tone window jobs with the wrap and the window a different color which requires extreme caulking precision, 40 ft ladder work, brick mould profile matched wrap, wrapping true arches, flat arches and even wrapping rounded windows. I have worked for or been offered work at several major window installation businesses in Saint Louis. I have hired and fired guys who have worked at every company from the mom and pop shops all the way up to Anderson certified installers. No exaggeration, I have never been able to find a single employee for hire that can do it Exactly the way I show them. So I am here to teach anyone who is willing to put in the work.
